Area of Focus - Decarbonization

As various industries and fields are being called upon to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, recent years have seen the emergence of a technology called CCU (Carbon Capture and Utilization), which utilizes reactions between carbon dioxide—the primary target for greenhouse gas reduction—and hydrogen to convert the carbon dioxide into useful energy sources and feedstocks for chemicals and fuels.

We will support the implementation of such useful technologies throughout society and contribute to ongoing efforts to mitigate climate change.

In addition, due to climate change, the threat of hurricanes and flood damage in some regions and droughts in others is becoming even more serious.

By providing new technologies to combat climate change, we would like to help create a society where people in these and other regions can live with peace of mind.
